Eid, popularly known as Eid al-Fitr, is a festival celebrated by the Muslims all over the world to celebrate the conclusion of the month of Ramzan (month of fasting)
It is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Traditionally, the observance begins with the sighting of the new moon.
Eid al-Fitr literally means 'festival of breaking the fast'. It is the single day during which muslims are not permitted to fast. Eid al-Fitr starts with special salat (prayer) that generally offered in open field known as eidgah.
This is the special day for children, they start planning this festival few weeks ahead with their friends, all kids gets new clothes. After Eid Salat they get gifts from their elder ones called as idde.
This day muslims visits to their friends and family and wishes them with word "Eid Mubarak"
